WEBThe fab I was planning on using for this is PCBWay. I've only used them once before, quite recently, for a reasonably large PCB (about 330x50mm); the price was insanely cheap, about a quarter to a third of what OSHPark would have cost, but then shipping on top.

WEBOct 24, 2022 · I currently have an old Amkey keyboard from the 80’s that I want to convert to usb using a pro-micro controller. The board uses foam and foil switches that press down onto the pcb and make contact with two conductive points and make a connection.

WEBThe system Amkey used here I can see is more prone to stray capacitance (probably why they used a hashed ground fill rather than a solid ground plane, to mitigate some of that), but is resistant to electrical inteference without having to use the massive heavy bottom plates fitted to the Beamsprings and Model Fs.

WEBJan 14, 2020 · The keyboard in question is a Computervision branded one, though the PCB says it’s an Amkey MPNK-68. Looking at the insides, the date codes on the circuit board are from 1984 and 1985, meaning this keyboard is probably from the end of the 1980s.
