But...just a note on monster items: The stat blocks don't implicitly say that the weapon itself gives additional benefits. The trip for the derro, grapple for the bosun, and extra damage dice for the sharktooth are all listed as performed by the monster.

WEBMay 1, 2022 · The most common method is to switch Cryovain for a Young Blue Dragon and have the cult worship him as an emmisary of Talos. I did that, so I also switched the orcs from being displaced from their home by cryovain tonbeing part of an orc horde near triboar that works with the cult.

WEBSep 12, 2019 · I'm running the Dragon of Icespire Peak campaign for my group right now; does the Anchorite of Talos enemy polymorph into boars or is a form of lycanthropy? Just polymorph. If it was lycanthropy they would be a lot scarier to see running around - wereboar form - in an adventure made for 1st-5th level party members.

I had them all roll to see if they spotted it, and his character was the only one who succeeded. We played it up as a pretty creepy encounter where his Halfling sorcerer asked if anyone else saw it, how it just sits there, glaring.
