It also depends on if you are traveling 2 miles to the field, or a day that you spend 50 miles traveling between 2 acre patches. Newer machines, 8/1064s are very easy to overgrease.

The seal itself is easy to change ,its getting to it thats the hard part there is a hub inside the wheel motor that runs on 4 sets of sealing rings like found in a powershift trans.

I also figured a used one was just about to go out so I went ahead and bought the whole thing. $12,000 without labor.

I don't have an owners manual with the machine to look this up. What is the torque specs for attaching the wheel motor back to the frame for the right rear wheel motor.

WEBSep 2, 2016 · The A-B leak can be caused by a bad wheel motor, You can case drain each motor. Take off the cace drain line and put on a short hose on the motor and have it in a 5 gallon bucket. Have some one put unit in high gear and have brake set and slowly stroke th ehydro handle forward. you should only have a small amount of oil come out tof the motor.
