WEBDec 3, 2020 — Sonic Rush 1's sound mixing ruins the awesome soundtrack. Sonic Rush's later levels are horribly designed, plagued with endless pits. Sonic Rush's penultimate boss is awful. Sonic Rush Adventure has better designed levels. Sonic Rush Adventure is ruined by needless grinding for ship minigames. Blaze the Cat is underused.
Underrated Modern Sonic: The Advance and Rush Trilogies
WEBDec 26, 2017 — Sonic Advance 1, 2 and 3 for the Game boy Advance are fun and fast old school 2D platformers. Advance 1 was Sonic 4 before Sonic 4. Advance 3 has a really cool team up mechanic, adds lots of variety. Sonic Rush and Sonic Rush Adventure for the Nintendo DS is more platforming goodness but we got BOOST and 3D graphics.

Sonic Advance 1 - Fun concept, but it's not exceptional. Sonic Advance 3 - Nice continuation of the Triple Trouble concept. Sonic Rush Adventure - jetski races!

WEBAug 27, 2024 — Eh, Sonic Team had a hot streak of bad stories before Colors. Sonic Heroes, Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic 06, Sonic Unleashed; awful. But let's not pretend they've gotten better. Forces was a dumpster fire and Frontiers was okay but they cheaped out on telling the story. A good Sonic story shouldn't be too serious or too silly.
