Bowood House & Gardens is now closed. We will reopen on 1st April 2025. Home of Bowood House and the Lansdowne family, set within 100 acres of beautifully landscaped ‘Capability’ Brown Parkland. Surrounding the Georgian House is the Italian-inspired Terrace Garden, the Private Walled Gardens, and the herbaceous border, all radiating colour throughout the seasons. Children will be thrilled with the adrenaline-fuelled Adventure Playground featuring a life-size pirate ship.

Are the woodland garden paths accessible for a pushchair?
A:
When we attended there were several pushchairs and wheelchairs going round. I believe some paths are not suitable. There are a few slope and rough tracks.

From the Bowood website 23/6/2019: "Bowood operates a strict no dogs rule. Only assistance dogs are permitted inside the Bowood House & Gardens."
