Bring a pic nic lunch and make a day of it if you are going to visit in Warmer climate! There are wonderful bridges and tunnels, strawberry hill , fountains, and so much more!

There are some inside buildings with animals, but you will be outside walking between. Some of the animals are seen from outside only. I’m not sure how active they will be in the winter. It’s not a large zoo and not expensive. Choose the best day and take a visit. Chances are good it will be below 50 in the city in December. It’s not an all-day event, but plan a couple hours —you will need to dress warm.
