Be warned - the music is overwhelmingly LOUD! Why? This is a panto for young children with tender ears - quite spoiled the whole thing. Ear defenders available but all very small. Full review by Patricia M

I recently bought dress circle tickets on line for South Pacific at the Festival Theatre Edinburgh. According to the booking plan most of the Dress Circle seats were unavailable therefore I presumed already booked. But at the performance most of the dress circle seats were empty. Attempting to book for the pantomime at Christmas I noticed again that a huge number of seats are unavailable. Is there a policy not to sell tickets in certain parts of the theatre? And if so, why?

You really need to ask the theatre this question as I have no idea.

This reply is probably too late, however there is no reasonably priced parking near the theatre. I always leave my car and take the bus.
