If you're going on a chateau tour around central France then why not visit. If you are making it a destination, then don't prioritize it. It was a nice side journey of our trip but does not compare… Full review by LREIFS

When we were there last week we couldn't get to Chambord but I suspect that is resolved by now. Best to check with those currently in France.
