Very beautiful castle.Small gift shops and food places on the banks.Cozy prices/Lovely hand made local products-honey,amber.You can take a boat ride of any kind as well.A must visit Full review by tensi78

This is not the best castle I have been to but the walk from the train station was beautiful. It is worth a day trip if you haven’t visited a beautiful “Lake district/town” before. Full review by Paul W

I wouldn't wait for Sunset in trakai. It's much nicer during the day where you can enjoy the castle as well as paddle boarding or a boat ride on the lake around the castle which is highly recommended. Anyway the sun doesn't set till very late during the summer there. Hope this helps

Not to the island. Only to visit the castle. So I think it is worth going there

There may be if school groups enter.. there was only 1 person infront of me at the ticket booth when i visited, whichnwas around 11.00am
