Michigan defensive coordinator Wink Martindale was brought to Ann Arbor this offseason in hopes of continuing the Wolverines' championship legacy on the defensive side of the ball. Making the situation more intriguing is that Martindale is considered the 'OG' or originator of previous coordinators Jesse Minter and Mike MacDonald's systems that helped stake the Wolverines to three straight Big Ten titles and a national championship.
