Ford's Power Promise program applies to vehicles purchased and leased from now through Jan. 2 as the company looks beyond early adopters to EV-curious buyers.

Ford Motor Co. is trying to convince more Americans to buy or lease its electric vehicles, offering them new incentives like round-the-clock phone support and at-home charging stations, the company announced Monday.

Starting on October 1 and lasting until January 2, 2025, Ford will provide a free charger and free “standard installation” of said charger to all new F-150 Lightning, Mustang Mach-E and E-Transit Van Cargo customers. This applies to those who either lease or buy the vehicle within that time frame.

The fourth-quarter promo is part of Ford’s effort to get more customers to choose an EV. If you buy a Ford EV after October 1, the automaker will throw in a home charger and its installation—for free.

Ford has yet to decide on what it will manufacture in India, said Tamil Nadu Industries Minister T.R.B. Rajaa, but he hinted that it could be electric vehicles.

Ford recently announced the Ford Power Promise to enhance the convenience and support for electric vehicle owners. This initiative focuses on three main areas: home charging, on-the-road charging, and battery confidence.

Those who purchase a Ford EV from now until Jan. 2, 2025, will get a free charger and installation under a new initiative the company is calling the Ford Power Promise.
