Verizon cellular customers were taking to the internet and social media on Monday morning to report service issues. Starting around 9:30 a.m. Monday, Verizon outage reports began to spoke on Downdetector.

The outage affected both iPhone and Android phones, as well as disrupting Wi-Fi calling services to these devices which would typically be fallback solutions. As of 6:15 p.m. ET, Verizon reported that service has started to be restored, with working cotinuing to restore service for everyone.

Verizon users across the country were reporting an apparent outage Monday morning. Commenters on DownDetector.com, which monitors online complaints about technology outages, saw a spike in the number of users reporting problems texting and calling starting at about 9:30 a.m. ET.
