Along with dealing with an ankle injury, Pittsburgh Steelers All-Pro outside linebacker T.J. Watt is also battling a lingering right thumb injury.

During the Christmas Day broadcast of the Pittsburgh Steelers' Week 17 game against the Kansas City Chiefs, it was revealed that star edge rusher T.J. Watt is dealing with a thumb injury that was not listed on the injury report this week.

The Steelers will have to do without star receiver George Pickens (hamstring), quarterback Justin Fields (abdominal) and safety DeShon Elliott (hamstring) on Saturday. Both cornerback Donte Jackson (back) and defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi (groin) are questionable.

While Watt and the Steelers are accustomed to be being at the mercy of the NFL schedule makers — Pittsburgh is playing on five days’ rest instead of the normal six because it is also hosting Kansas City on Christmas Day — he demurred when asked if he was frustrated that he’s being forced to deal with an injury during a truncated portion of season.
