Live Nation Entertainment has unveiled plans for a new 50,000-seat stadium in north Toronto to host top global music acts. Rogers Stadium, to be built on a former runway, will open in June 2025 on former Downsview Airport lands earlier slated to host a giant film studio complex.

Ahead of the big reveal, here’s a look at some of the potential artists who could be performing in the 51,000-seat stadium.

Live Nation seeks to dismiss part of the lawsuit the U.S. Department of Justice and a coalition of states filed in May. Prosecutors seek to break up Live Nation and argue the concert promoter and Ticketmaster illegally inflated concert ticket prices and hurt artists.

Toronto is getting new stadium that will soon host some of the world’s biggest music acts — and its name bears an uncanny resemblance to another major venue in the city. Live Nation Canada announced Thursday that it’s constructing Toronto’s largest purpose-built outdoor concert venue at the former site of Downsview Airport.
