The U.S. government’s monopoly case relies on the definition of digital ad markets, and whether Google unfairly controls them.

The tech giant, which wrapped up its arguments in the federal monopoly trial, simply says it has the best product.

Economist Mark Israel reported that when all online display advertising is accounted for, Google gets just 10% of the U.S. market share.

Following closing arguments in November, the federal judge will decide whether Google should be considered an just extremely successful tech business or a monopolist wielding power.

Sundar Pichai stated that resolving Google's antitrust issues will take years, but they won't impact business immediately.
