The New York Rangers beat the Boston Bruins 5-2 on Thursday night, which marks their third consecutive preseason win. As opposed to their last preseason victory, the Rangers played a real solid 60 minutes of hockey. The biggest winner of the night had to be Brennan Othmann.

A shaky showing from Brandon Bussi highlighted the Bruins' loss to the Rangers on Thursday night at Madison Square Garden.

In Sunday’s game at TD Garden, Bruins defenseman Parker Wotherspoon was upset at being hit late and high twice by Brennan Othmann, the first of which caused Boston trainers to check on him. At the end of the second period, he’d had enough which led to a short fight, where Wotherspoon landed most of the punches.

The New York Rangers have gotten off to an amazing start so far this preseason going 3-0. They started by beating the Boston Bruins in Boston and in the next game, they scored six goals in the third period to come back against the New York Islanders.
