The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) has adjusted its transaction fees for Currency Future Contracts, as well as for Sensex and Bankex Options within the derivatives segment. Beginning on October 1, 2024,

Markets regulator Sebi mandated a uniform flat fee structure for all members of market infrastructure institutions.

Specifically, the transaction charges for Currency Futures, including cross-currency futures, will be revised to ₹45 per crore of turnover value. Notably, there will be no changes to the transaction charges for Currency Options,

Transaction fee for Sensex Options and Bankex Options for all expiries will be Rs 3,250 per crore of premium turnover value, said the exchange circular

All Sensex and Bankex options will have a transaction fee of Rs 3,250 per crore of premium turnover value, while stock options and Sensex 50 options will have a transaction fee of Rs 500 per crore of premium turnover value, said BSE in a circular. However, the same for index futures and stock futures will remain nil at BSE.

With effect from July 1, Sebi guidelines directed MIIs that the charge structure of the MII should be uniform and equal for all its members instead of the current slab-wise structure which is dependent on the volume of the trading members.
