Samsung maybe working on its first smart glasses that follow the Meta Ray-Ban Stories' footsteps. The software stack, however, will rely on Google's Gemini.

Many of these specs are very familiar as they're also in the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses. Those currently use an AR1 chip, though Qualcomm has released an AR2 chipset. Samsung's device appears slightly heavier than the Ray-Ban glasses, but the camera and battery are more or less matching.

A new report suggests that Samsung's AI-powered XR smart glasses will launch by the third quarter of next year. The smart glasses will feature a 155mAh battery, a 12MP camera, and Qualcomm's AR1 chipset, per the report. Samsung could reveal some details about these XR smart glasses during the Galaxy S25 launch in January 2025.
