Burlington Police Chief Jon Murad won't seek reappointment: When his last day will be
Murad informed the department of his decision this morning, Nov. 19. He will continue to lead the department through the early part of 2025, while the administration engages in a search process to find the next Chief of Police. In his letter, he states his last day will be Monday, April 7, 2025.

Burlington Police Chief Jon Murad says he will be stepping down from his post in the new year. The Mayor’s Office on Tuesday announced that they had received a letter from Murad on November 4 that he would not seek reappointment in June of next year.
