Pitched “Transformers One,” an origins story for Optimus Prime and Megatron, the one-time Thor thought it was a good opportunity to “dig in and invent.”

Transformers One gives Optimus Prime a new origin story, adding new details to his backstory, relationships, and powers while keeping key elements.

While ending its narrative on a well-rounded note, Transformers One also paves the way for new future story developments for Megatron & Optimus Prime.

Chris Hemsworth does a fine job voicing Optimus Prime in the new Transformers One animated film, but let’s be honest, he’s no Peter Cullen . Cullen is Optimus Prime, and there was really no reason to replace him.

Cybertron is now being led by Optimus Prime, which upsets Megatron. Optimus Prime orders Megatron to leave and never return, exiling him. Megatron promises that it is not over as he and his Decepticons leave the planet.
