WEBMay 4, 2022 · After quite some time of messing with my S&W Victory and Mask, I realized I just don't enjoy it and let my buddy buy it off me. It was finicky, long, heavy and clunky. So I am back in the market for a .22lr pistol to use my Mask on. I do plan on pest control with with pvs14, so being able to mount a light/laser like the TLR VIR II would be swell.

I didn't know a firearm could be that much fun. To add a third 22 would be the Ruger 57 (5.7x28mm). It deserves mention among 22s.

I've owned HKs and Glocks in 45 and for a polymer gun, it has a great sized grip and is extremely accurate. With an APEX trigger the pull can rival a 1911. I would not recommend the real small 22 LR as most suffer reliability issues or are difficult to shoot (Berretta 21A, Taurus PT 22, Ruger LCP II 22 LR, Phoenix Arms HP22). The Kel-Tec P17 is pretty inexpensive but gets very good reviews.

I also have a Thunderbeast takedown 22 which is lighter but does have a bit of frp on my pistols but is basically about as quiet as the mask after the first shot.
