WEBNov 24, 2004 · A calcified fibriod is a fibroid with bone, possibly hair, and sometimes even TEETH! There have been many assumptions as to what causes this. Possibly a twin that never developed, or your twin, that remained inside. These were just two things that were suggested at the party - so not a doctor's opinion. Could even be an evolution gone amuck.

I've known for a while that I had fibroids but didn't really know how big. Now that it's calcified, fairly sizeable, and suspected to be causing problems, my instinct is to just get rid of it.
