Should i get sonic generations or sonic adventure 2 for christmas?
Dec 19, 2021 · If you’re not very experienced in the Sonic franchise, go with Generations. It’s pretty beginner-friendly without being outright boring, however due to it being a celebration title reliant on existing level themes, it lacks any real identity.

The story is basically the console version with the alteration of the opening taking place before the birthday party and thus Sonic’s friends do not make appearances throughout the game.

Sonic colors was only playable on Wii and emulators, but generations is playable on PC, and is perfectly solid as it is, just a port would've done, but no, they prefer to do a (maybe) lazy remaster to pump prices instead of re-releasing, and, spoiler alert, they probably will de-list sonic generations.
