Dec 22, 2009 · You can get a decent torch set for little above 200$, makes sense when the clone off brands are in the 130 range. Size of the bottles is crucial, personally a 125/140 setup. For light work a small tip is worth the investment.

I don't follow charts I just set the fuel at 7 psi and the oxy at 20 psi that about covers 90% of general welding, and brazing up too 1/4" and cutting to about 5/8". Cutting thicker requires more O2 pressure thiner requires less. If welding or brazing very thin stuff drop the fuel pressure to 3 and the O2 to 10 or less.

01-21-2011, 06:34 PM. I would get a Weldcraft torch. P/N WP-17V or WP-17FV for the flex head version. They'll handle everything your econotig puts out. If you want a smaller, lighter torch (80-100 amps max) go with the WP-9V or WP-9FV. The V in the part number denotes a torch with a gas valve, the F denotes flex-head for the Weldcraft torches.
