WEBFeb 9, 2016. #14. Toprudder, my Savage model 10 in 7.62x39 also has a .308 barrel and it shoots the .310 steel-cased stuff like a champ. Sub-MOA with steel-case .310 Hornady 123-grain SST's in fact. I figured I'd be loading .308 bullets for it until I shot some .310's.
30-30 vs 44 mag lever - The High Road
WEBJan 16, 2018 · A lot of it is the velocity. The 30-30 has more range than the 44 Mag, and still is plenty big enough to take down a deer. I think perception also plays a part too - 30-30's reputation as a deer round is beyond question, whereas 44 mag in a long gun is thought of as a big-bore plinker or a 50 yard thumper.
Rem 870 Express Police trade in | The High Road
WEBJan 16, 2014 · I found a police trade in for $360 at a pawn shop. No rust but the finish is well worn and the stocks are beat up. It comes with the slug barrel with scope rings and bases as well as a 28" vent rib bbl threaded for Remchokes. If the finish was better I would have bought. What do you think?
