Rectec what's bad about them - Smoking Meat Forums
WEBMay 28, 2014 · Honestly I can't think of much bad to say about my Rec Tec. I believe it's hard to beat the quality for the price. Now, mind you, if I had 3K+ to spend on a grill, there are a few higher end products (Memphis Elite, for example) with some very cool features, but for a thousand bucks, Rec Tec is hard to beat.

Opened up the Rec Tec app & set the temp to 225, and went back to sleep. The meat was at 160 IT. After about 3 hours it was 186, and the Bull was rock solid at 225.

WEBMay 21, 2020. #6. There is more smoke at 180° (extreme smoke) mode. But an option you have is to add smoke while cooking at 225°/235° if time is an issue. Buy using a smoketube or placing wood chunks on the deflector. This will give you more smoke without sacrificing alot of cook time....

WEBApr 19, 2020 · The low smoke setting is dependent on ambient temperature. It will hold 170-180, but if your cooker is in direct sunlight in the middle of the summer, good luck with that. I've read some less than great reviews with the rectec700 cold smoke attachment, but I don't have any first hand experience with it.

Inject legs and thighs once. Season outside of turkey with Dirty Gurl Bloody Mary Rub. Pre-heat REC TEC to 350ºF. Cook until reaching an internal of 165ºF in breast and 170ºF in thigh.
