WEBOct 25, 2009 · The T-450 takes two bottles of chemical. I am not sure what this liquid is, but supposedly it is made specifically for the Taylor stoves to protect the water tank. To pour it in the stove, I attach a small funnel to the top of the water level tube on the front of the stove and pour it in from there. It makes the water look slightly milky. Adrian

WEBNov 30, 2008 · Before I bought mine, I asked many people if they were happy with their stove and I didn't hear any complaints just positive feedback. Another reason I liked the Taylor is that the fire box and door are big enough that if the water jacket needs welding in the future, I will be able to weld from inside the fire box. Parts are also easy to find.

WEBNov 21, 2012 · The fire must be really low to fill the stove, you have to shovel out the ashes or drag them out into a container parked right under the door. Lots of fun on a windy day with hot ash flying all over. Reload the firebox is easy though, it's all open. You can pack it full very easily. Just make sure you left a little bit of fire in there for restart.

WEBMar 15, 2009 · Weight A poured pad may be more $, but remember, there's a lot of weight with the water added in. I would ensure anything I did (not a pad) could take the weight and not sink into the ground. And as someone mentioned, be sure there's a slope (which needs to be taken into account if something sinks into the ground once the stove is filled).
